Pain Control After
Surgery
Pain is the body's way of telling us that something is wrong.
It can be useful in nature, but serves no purpose after surgery, and
does actually slow healing.
In the past, vets have not paid much attention to pain control,
because animals often hide their discomfort. However, we believe
pain relief should be given if we ourselves would be uncomfortable under
similar circumstances.
It is therefore our policy to offer pain relief before, during, and
also after surgery where appropriate.
