House Calls
Historically vets would often
do house calls because they were usually in their cars for most of the
day doing their "rounds" to farm clients. They could
easily stop off and see the occasional small pet on the way. These
days we usually find that house calls are unsatisfactory, mostly because
of the lack of facilities on hand. In addition, for a genuinely
ill animal the usual outcome of a house visit will be to arrange for the
owner to bring the pet to the surgery in any case for further
procedures.
We have therefore organised a
number of methods of getting pets to the surgery, using a special taxi
service. Further details of this can be obtained from the
receptionist.
